First prize will be a choice of either a Hannspree 23.8 inch 1080p monitor or a Duex Lite Portable Laptop Monitor, which will be selected at random from followers who have liked the relevant post.
Second prize will be awarded to our choice of the best battlestation in the comments, who will receive the prize not selected by the winner of the first prize.
Entrants must have a UK address they are happy to have their prize sent to.
Winners will be contacted via Facebook to be notified that they are the winners and will have 48 hours to respond.
Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility:
1.1. The Facebook Giveaway Competition ("Competition") is open to individuals who meet the following criteria: (a) Must be at least 18 years old or have obtained the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is higher. (b) Must have a valid Facebook account. (c) Must be a follower of Direct Computers on Facebook at time of competition close. (d) Entrants must be able to receive their prize at a UK address in the event of winning a prize. (e) Must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
1.2. Employees of Meta or Direct Computers and their immediate family members, as well as any individuals connected with the creation, administration, or fulfillment of this Competition, are not eligible to participate.
2. How to Enter:
2.1. The Competition will begin on June 30th, 2023, and end on July 30th, 2023 ("Competition Period").
2.2. To enter, participants must: (a) Like the designated Facebook post related to the Competition. (b) For a chance to win the second prize, participants can also post a picture of their gaming setup in the comments section of the same Facebook post.
2.3. Only one entry per person for the first and second prize will be accepted, however entry into both first and second prize is allowed. Any additional entries will be disregarded.
2.4. By entering the Competition, participants warrant that all information provided is true, accurate, and complete.
3. Winner Selection and Notification:
3.1. The first prize winner will be randomly selected from all eligible participants who have liked the Facebook post with random selection software.
3.2. The second prize winner will be selected by Direct Computers, who serve as the judges of the competition, from all eligible participants who have posted a picture of their gaming setup in the comments section. Direct Computers as the judges will make their decision based on the aesthetics and/or the most interesting entries posted.
3.3. The winners will be selected and contacted on July 31st, 2023.
3.4. The winners will be notified via a comment on the Facebook post. The winners must respond to the notification within 48 hours to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond within the specified time, another winner may be selected.
4. Prizes:
4.1. The first prize consists of a choice of either a Hannspree 23.8 inch 1080p monitor HP247HJB or a Duex Lite Portable Laptop Monitor model 101-1005P05.
4.2. The second prize consists of one of the above prizes, and will be whichever prize is not selected by the winner of the first prize.
4.3. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash or other alternatives.
4.4. Direct Computers reserves the right to substitute the prizes with items of equal or greater value if circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.
5. Liability and Indemnification:
5.1. By participating in the Competition, participants agree to release and hold Meta, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind arising from or in connection with the Competition or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize.
5.2. Meta does not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate information, technical issues, or unauthorized access to participants' entries.
5.3. Participants agree to indemnify and hold Meta harmless against any claims arising out of their participation in the Competition or any breach of these terms and conditions.
6. Sponsorship and Association:
6.1. The Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta.
6.2. Any questions, comments, or complaints regarding the Competition should be directed to the designated organizer and not to Meta.
7. General Terms:
7.1. Meta reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Competition, in whole or in part, at any time without prior notice if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Competition is not capable of being conducted as planned or if fraud or technical issues compromise the integrity of the Competition.
7.2. Meta's decisions regarding any aspect of the Competition, including but not limited to eligibility, entry, winner selection, and prize distribution, are final and binding.
