Microsoft will end support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2025

After this date, Microsoft will no longer be providing free software updates, security patches or technical support for devices running Windows 10.

Although PCs running Windows 10 will continue to operate, they will face increased risks from viruses and malware without ongoing updates. To stay secure and protected, Microsoft advises upgrading to the latest version of Windows, which ensures access to critical updates and technical support.

Well before the end-of-support date, businesses, educational establishments and government agencies will have to act - they cannot risk security breaches of any kind, financially or in terms of data protection. Having non-compliant, out-of-date software and security on business devices carries significant risks - business insurance can be invalidated, hackers can access whole systems through single devices and data is left out in the open. Make sure you?re approaching these end-users now.

Key Risks of Staying with Windows 10

  • No more security updates, increasing vulnerability to viruses and malware.
  • Limited technical support from Microsoft.
  • Compatibility issues with new software and hardware.
  • Reduced performance and outdated features over time.

Benefits of Upgrading to Windows 11

  • Regular security updates to protect against modern threats.
  • Enhanced performance and system reliability.
  • Access to the latest features and productivity tools.
  • Improved compatibility with modern software and hardware.
